You can reach Paderborn via the the motorway A33, driving in from Bielefeld or direction Dortmund/Kassel.

by train
For the FLL OEC 2013 you can travel also via train. The trains can be booked via Deutsche Bahn.
by plane
You can arange your flight directly to Paderborn. The airport is located 10 km outside of Paderborn. All airports with international flights (Berlin, Duesseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich) are providing national flights to Paderborn. There is bus shuttle provided to the center of Paderborn. For getting to Paderborn from Frankfurt Airport or Duesseldorf Airport you have the following options:

German Rail (Deutsche Bahn)
Information on schedules and fares you can find here: German Rail / Deutsche Bahn. Please enter “Frankfurt(M)Flughafen” or "Duesseldorf Flughafen" as your starting station and “Paderborn Hbf” as your destination. The travel time to Paderborn main station depends on the rail connection. From Frankfurt it takes appr. 3,5 hours, from Duesseldorf appr. 2 hours.

Car rental
You can find several car rental companies at the Airports. Established car rentals are Enterprise, Europcar or Sixt. This is an excellent way to travel to your final destination. You may even wish to keep the rental car for a longer period to explore the country at your leisure.
